This leadership role emphasizes the importance of incorporating Indigenous perspectives into healthcare environments. You will provide mentorship and guidance to the Indigenous Cultural Advisor team, ensuring programs align with community traditions while promoting trauma-informed care. Your contributions will empower clients and enhance cultural safety across services provided by the healthcare system.
Key Responsibilities:
• Guide Indigenous perspectives in healthcare delivery
• Mentor healthcare professionals on traditional practices
• Define community-based care approaches with stakeholders
• Facilitate traditional ceremonies for healing
• Provide support and information to clients about wellness plans
Requirements:
• Equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree or lived experience
• Minimum 3 years in Indigenous health organizations
• Valid driver's license and personal vehicle needed
• Deep cultural knowledge of Indigenous histories and practices
• Strong interpersonal and advocacy skills
