Detailed OverviewUnder the general supervision of an Occupational Therapist, Physiotherapist and Recreation Therapist, the Casual Rehabilitation/Recreation Assistant provides routine training to patients on activities of daily living, carries out recreation, physiotherapy and occupational therapy programs, prepares and applies treatment modalities, prepares equipment for use by the therapist, and maintains inventory of equipment.
ResponsibilitiesEducation and Experience
Completion of a recognized Rehabilitation Assistant Program or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Skills and Abilities
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to deal with others effectively.
- Physical ability to perform the duties of the job.
- Ability to organize work and manage time effectively.
- Ability to operate related equipment.
