Job Summary
The Home Caregiver/HCA is an essential member of our home care team who works under the supervision of the Care Coordinator and performs various personal care services as necessary to meet the client’s needs.
Qualicare Homecare, BC has immediate openings for Health Care Aides/Caregivers across BC, with a specific focus on supporting Cantonese-speaking clients in Coquitlam and other areas! Many of our clients and families communicate best in Cantonese. This role allows you to make a deep, meaningful connection by providing culturally comfortable, language-matched care right in your community.

Responsibilities
- Assistance with personal care and hygiene
- Meal Preparation
- Light housekeeping, laundry, and home organization
- Accompany clients on outings
- Shopping and errands
- Medication Assist / Reminders
- Ambulation and transporting of clients
- Provide companionship and converse fluently in Cantonese
- Ability to follow care plan
- Documentation/Charting
- Shifts ranging anywhere from 2 hours up to 12 hours

- Fluency in Cantonese alongside conversational English
- Prior experience as a Caregiver or Health Care Aide required
- Health Care Aide Certificate or equivalent (foreign-trained nurse, nursing student preferred)
- Current CPR/First Aid training or willingness to obtain
- CRC for Vulnerable Sector (valid for 5 years) or willingness to obtain
- Ability to travel to client homes in your local community
- Access to Internet / smart phone with data
