Casual Acute Care Physiotherapist

Serve acute in-patient needs as a Casual Physiotherapist with Fraser Health, applying assessment and treatment planning at Surrey Memorial Hospital.

This Casual Physiotherapist position supports Fraser Health’s Acute In-Patient team in Surrey, B.C. You will assess physical status, establish diagnoses and prognoses, and develop evidence-based interventions. Patient and family-centered care, interprofessional collaboration, and documentation are central to the work. Patient education and consultation support self-management and health outcomes.

• Assess physical status, functional abilities, needs, and patient goals
• Develop and implement evidence-based, outcome-focused intervention strategies
• Educate patients and caregivers about self-management and injury prevention
• Collaborate on care planning, transfers, and discharge plans
• Evaluate interventions and document patient progress and treatment results

• Current full registration with the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC
• Knowledge of physiotherapy theory, practice, tests, and measures
• Effective verbal and written interprofessional communication skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Physical ability to perform position duties
