Westland Insurance Group Ltd. has an exciting opportunity for a People & Performance Program Specialist (hybrid) at our Head Office in Surrey, BC.

Expected Compensation:
The expected hiring range for this role is $66,000 to $78,000 based on a 35-hour work week. Actual offered salary will depend on the successful candidate’s qualifications and experience, as well as market conditions for the role, and internal equity.

As a People & Performance Program Specialist, you will play a crucial role in facilitating employee program initiatives, including the establishment and rollout of new programs.

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to build authentic and trusting relationships and work collaboratively
• You’re data-driven with the ability to analyze and interpret HR metrics
• Strong knowledge of provincial employment standards and employment law
• Ability to juggle multiple priorities with outstanding project management skills
• Degree in Human Resources or related discipline
• Proficiency in HR systems and software

• Support HR programs, policies, and initiatives aligned with organizational objectives while evaluating program effectiveness and suggesting improvements.
• Collaborate with HR leadership to enhance employee engagement and organizational culture.
• Analyze HR program data for insights to be shared with leaders.
• Prepare accurate and timely documentation related to HR programs.
• Develop initiatives promoting a positive workplace culture and work-life balance.
• Monitor DEI metrics to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
• Partner with departments for seamless integration of HR programs.
• Assist in planning and executing HR initiatives across various areas including employee engagement, M&A, total rewards, learning & development, and talent acquisition.
• Provide support and guidance to managers and employees on HR program inquiries and processes.
