Westland Insurance Group Ltd. has an exciting opportunity for a People & Performance Advisor. This is a hybrid role based out of our Head Office in Surrey, BC.
Expected Compensation:
The expected hiring range for this role is $66,400 to $83,000 based on a 35-hour work week. Actual offered salary will depend on the successful candidate’s qualifications and experience, as well as market conditions for the role, and internal equity.

This is a new role within the People & Performance team, offering a unique opportunity to make it your own and help shape what success looks like. As a People & Performance Advisor, you'll provide dedicated support to your own client group within Insurance Operations, while also supporting work across the corporate client team portfolio, partnering partner with leaders on day-to-day people matters, annual people programs, and business initiatives.
In addition to day-to-day client support, you'll contribute to corporate People & Performance projects and initiatives, giving you exposure to a variety of priorities and opportunities to make an impact across the organization.

- You’re curious, love to research, and can turn data, findings, and employment trends into clear insights and practical recommendations
- Strong knowledge of provincial employment standards and employment law
- At least two years’ experience in a similar HR advisor role, with exposure to client group support, annual HR programs, and project work
- Degree or diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration or related discipline and working toward CPHR/CHRP
- Bonus:
Retail, hospitality, or insurance industry experience
- Establish and maintain trusting relationships with managers and employees to support employee engagement and retention
- Provide dedicated People & Performance support to a small client group while also supporting priorities across the corporate client group
