Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior QA Engineer with strong expertise in mobile application testing across Android and iOS platforms. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of ensuring high-quality mobile experiences through comprehensive manual and automated testing, API validation, and collaboration with cross-functional teams in Agile environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute test strategies, test plans, and test cases for native and hybrid mobile applications.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, usability, and end-to-end testing across Android and iOS platforms.
- Validate mobile app functionality, performance, and compatibility across multiple devices and OS versions.
- Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Developers, UX teams, and Dev Ops teams throughout the SDLC.
- Develop and maintain mobile automation frameworks and test suites.
- Perform API testing and backend validation to ensure seamless mobile application integration.
- Identify, document, prioritize, and track defects through resolution.
- Support release validation, production monitoring, and root-cause analysis.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives.
Required Skills
- 7+ years of Quality Assurance experience with significant focus on mobile application testing.
- Strong hands-on experience testing Android and iOS applications.
- E
xperience with mobile automation tools such as Appium, Espresso, XCUITest, Selenium, or similar frameworks. - Proficiency with API testing tools including Postman, REST Assured, Swagger, or equivalent.
- Experience validating integrations between mobile applications and backend services.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing practices.
- Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Experience with defect and test management tools such as Jira, Zephyr, Test Rail, or ALM.
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in Retail, eCommerce, Loyalty, or Omnichannel environments.
- Knowledge of mobile performance, accessibility, and security testing.
- Experience testing applications integrated with payment systems, notifications, analytics, and third-party SDKs.
- Familiarity with cloud-based device testing platforms such as Browser Stack, Sauce Labs, or Firebase Test Lab.
- Experience working with distributed or nearshore teams.
