Join Insight Global as a Flutter Developer enhancing in-house POS systems for a major Canadian retailer. Ideal candidates will have Flutter/Dart experience across both mobile and desktop platforms.
This role focuses on supporting the modernization of store systems to improve operations across hundreds of locations. You’ll be part of a collaborative team, optimizing for performance and stability while developing offline-first UIs. A solid understanding of Flutter’s architecture and experience with hardware integrations, such as scanners and printers, is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop resilient UIs for retail environments
• Optimize performance for long-running store sessions
• Integrate hardware like scanners and printers
• Build systems that work offline seamlessly
• Consume backend APIs in challenging network conditions
Requirements:
• Strong Flutter/Dart experience on mobile and desktop
• Knowledge of .NET/C# and Linux/Unix environments
• Familiarity with retail or POS system front ends
• Experience with hardware integration beneficial
• Ability to handle resilient API consumption
