Become a key player in Simon Fraser University's IT Infrastructure Services as a Network Technologist. Provide on-site support across Surrey and Vancouver campuses, ensuring reliable network operations.
In this crucial role, you'll handle the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of network hardware and services s position divides responsibilities between two campuses and follows the NOC procedures based r expertise ensures smooth operation of wired, wireless, and VoIP systems across a vast institutional network.
Key Responsibilities:
• Install and maintain network hardware and infrastructure
• Troubleshoot network issues and resolve service tickets
• Conduct network tests while configuring switches and routers
• Support monitoring of data centre operations
• Collaborate effectively with the NOC team
Requirements:
• Two years of post-secondary education in Computing Science or Technology
• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification
• 5 years of experience in a large Data Center or Network environment
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and customer service abilities
