Job Summary

The Health Information Exchange portfolio has a permanent full-time Business Analyst position available supporting eHealth solutions including Digital Front Door within Fraser Health. This is a hybrid position located at Central City in Surrey, B.C.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support all aspects of the project lifecycle: design, testing, implementation, and change management.
  • Participate in business requirements and design sessions.
  • Support implementation of regional and provincial eHealth and integration initiatives.
  • Provide systems analysis: establish scope, conduct feasibility studies, plan or modify procedures, prepare detailed specifications, solve existing system logic difficulties.
  • Perform business analysis: workflow analysis, develop business information requirements and models, assist in defining business scope, design or modify manual and automated business procedures.
  • Contribute to strategic planning support and change management services, assist the Manager, Senior Consultant, or Consultant on confidential initiatives, conduct feasibility studies, workload efficiency analysis, identify system deficiencies, improve business efficiency.
  • Participate in information systems projects, provide business systems analysis support, may lead small projects.
  • Provide third-level application support and maintain SLA.
  • Serve on committees, task groups, working teams, and corporate projects.
  • Maintain knowledge of infrastructure and technologies.
  • Perform other related duties as required.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Health Information Science or related field.
  • Two to four years of recent related experience in a medium to large sized organization.
  • Experience with health and corporate information systems.
  • Experience with an electronic health information system such as Meditech.
Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree in Health Information Science or Computer Science with 2-4 years of experience with business and systems analysis or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Competencies
  • Knowledge of information management, business processes, technologies and applications.
  • Knowledge of the project management process and the systems development life cycle.
  • Superior skills in data research, gathering, modeling, and business and systems analysis.
  • Ability to organize work, problem solve, multitask and meet deadlines.
  • Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.
