Are you driven by optimizing cloud services, efficiently managing cloud environments, and applying Fin Ops practices, and eager to contribute to the purpose of a company that aims to help its clients feel confident and secure about their future? As a Cloud Technology Designer (Fin Ops focus), you will play a key role in designing high-performing, secure, and cost-optimized cloud solutions, while supporting delivery teams and cloud consumers in their technology choices, cost understanding, and continuous optimization efforts.

This position is a great opportunity to showcase your skills and fully realize your potential within a caring and trustworthy company. Here, people and their development are at the heart of our priorities, fostering an environment that encourages collaboration and innovation.

What you’ll accomplish with us

As a Cloud Technology Designer (Fin Ops focus), you’ll be at the core of our mission. Here are the main responsibilities:

  • Provide your technical expertise to optimize the selection, operation, performance, and costs of cloud services by recommending and designing solutions aligned with business needs, technology standards, and financial efficiency.
  • Act as a technical leader within the delivery team, participate in deployment activities to ensure solution integrity, and contribute to the implementation of complex components using automated infrastructure pipelines.
  • Collaborate closely with analysts and architects from the requirements-gathering phase to define appropriate solutions, taking into account constraints, system capabilities, and cloud best practices.
  • Support cloud consumers in understanding their usage, analyze trends, identify optimization opportunities, and provide actionable recommendations to improve the performance and value of cloud environments.
  • Contribute to the implementation and evolution of Fin Ops practices by promoting cost transparency, governance, budget forecasting, and continuous improvement, while developing automations and optimizations that enhance adoption, efficiency, and user satisfaction.
What could accelerate your success in this role

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Is recognized for their ability to analyze cloud data and their strong mastery of Fin Ops practices, particularly in cost visibility, allocation, and continuous optimization.
  • Stands out for their ability to simplify complex topics and to support and influence multidisciplinary teams.
  • Demonstrates strong expertise in cloud technologies (IaaS, PaaS, CaaS – Azure, AWS), infrastructure as code (IaC) practices, and CI/CD tools (e.g., Azure Dev Ops).
  • Is recognized for their collaborative mindset, Dev Ops approach, and strong command of Agile methodologies (SAFe®, SDLC), as well as their understanding of infrastructure challenges (network, databases, security).
  • Has more than 5 years of experience in information technology, including a minimum of 2 years in designing cloud solutions, along with a DEC or a bachelor’s degree in computer science, management information systems, information systems, computer or software engineering, mathematics, or any other relevant field of a similar level.
  • Has a beginner level of English proficiency, as the role involves reading and writing documentation and emails, as well as communicating by phone with internal partners and collaborators across Canada on a monthly basis.
  • Has an advanced level of French proficiency, both spoken and written.
Why you’ll love working with us
  • A work environment where learning and development merge with a collective pursuit of excellence;
  • A healthy, safe, fair, and inclusive environment where potential can be freely expressed and developed;
  • The opportunity to work in a hybrid environment, supported by flexibility and access to inspiring and innovative work spaces;
  • Competitive benefits:
    Flexible group insurance, competitive pension plan, stock purchase plan, vacation and wellness/personal development days, telemedicine, employee and family assistance program, ergonomic furniture program, performance bonus, discounts on iA products, and much more!
