You will play a significant role in supporting the educational programs and ensuring students' needs are met effectively. This position requires a deep understanding of American Sign Language and experience working in educational environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Enable communication for deaf students within the classroom

• Provide interpretative services during lessons and activities

• Adapt signing techniques to match students' communication needs

• Collaborate with staff to enhance learning and inclusion

• Support individual education plans for deaf and hard of hearing students

Requirements:

• Two years of post-secondary education in interpretation

• Active membership with Westcoast Association of Visual Language Interpreters

• Minimum one year related interpreting experience

• High fluency in American Sign Language

• Knowledge of educational implications for deaf students
