Lookout Shelter Cleaner Position

Become a Cleaner at Lookout Housing and Health Society in Gateway Shelter, responsible for keeping spaces tidy and supporting vulnerable adults. This casual role offers a flexible schedule.

As a Cleaner, you will report to the Site Manager and be essential in maintaining a welcoming environment for residents. Your tasks will include various cleaning duties, organizing supplies, and providing assistance with personal care needs. You’ll also engage with volunteers and community donations in a meaningful way.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain cleanliness of resident rooms and shared spaces

• Perform laundry and organize personal supplies

• Disinfect surfaces, walls, and washrooms effectively

• Aid clients in personal hygiene and nutrition when necessary

• Oversee volunteers and donations processing

Requirements:

• Minimum Grade 12 education with relevant experience

• First Aid Level 1 Certification required

• Experience with crisis intervention is beneficial

• Strong organizational skills and independence

• Criminal record clearance for vulnerable sector
