Job SummaryWe are excited to share with you an opportunity to join our team at Redevelopment & Major Projects Long Term Care Project Portfolio, where we are dedicated to building the future of long-term care in the Fraser Health region! We are currently seeking a talented and dynamic Senior Project Manager with a Mechanical and/or Electrical (MEP) background to support design and construction activities for major long-term care facility development projects.
The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in the technical design of mechanical and/or electrical systems for healthcare or similar institutional buildings. Additionally, a solid understanding of Applicable Building Codes, CSA, ASHRAE, and other relevant standards is essential. A certified Professional Engineer designation is also required.
Project DescriptionThe Long-Term Care (LTC) portfolio is well underway with three separate new construction projects in various stages of design. The new LTC facilities will provide a combined total of 600 beds across the Fraser Valley.
Highlights for the new LTC facilities includes:- Three 200-bed long-term care facilities with a focus on single-bed rooms for more home-like care settings;
- An array of resident care including standard rooms, bariatric rooms, oxygen dependent rooms and behavioural units;
- A variety of amenities to allow for improved level of care such as rehab facilities, activity kitchen, art room and spiritual space;
- Day program for older adults with 32 spaces;
In addition, the LTC portfolio includes design guidance and evaluation of proposals for the contracted beds at a variety of facilities across the Fraser Valley.
This full-time position is based out of our Central City offices in Surrey, BC
, with access to rapid transit, shopping, restaurants, on-site gym and other amenities.

The Senior Project Manager is responsible for overseeing and supporting the planning, design and/or implementation of assigned large facilities projects with a high degree of complexity across Fraser Health (FH), including project planning, project management, communications, and contract management. Supervises assigned staff and provides leadership by directing work teams, contractors and consultants to ensure accountability and performance.
