Schedule: Monday – Friday; 7:00am – 3:30pm. Flexibility is needed during peak business periods; weekend work may be required.

The impact you’ll make

Reporting into the Senior Distribution Manager, the Production Manager plays an essential role in delivering on the flow of goods from Saje Distribution Centres to our stores and eCommerce customers. This role provides directional and functional oversight to Distribution Associations and cross-functional partners inside and outside of our Surrey Distribution Centre.

All Saje Team Members are responsible for contributing to Saje’s culture and maintaining a positive environment for themselves and their peers.

What you’ll do
  • Develop and implement production schedules to meet business goals, ensuring efficient use of materials, labor, and equipment.
  • Establish, monitor, and enforce quality control standards to ensure all products meet required specifications.
  • Develop, maintain, and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as per Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) requirements in collaboration with the Quality Team.
  • Develop, implement, and manage KPIs for all areas and functions within your department.
  • Manage and supervise production staff including hiring, GMP training, and performance evaluations.
  • Develop and manage production budgets, monitoring expenses to ensure operations remain within budget.
  • Manage DC and offsite DC inventory, product’s FIFO, co-manufacture components request and obsolete inventory.
  • Ensure timely resolution and communication of any issues regarding people, functions, labor requirements, safety hazards.
  • Identification and execution of continuous improvement opportunities in partnership with cross functional departments, business partners and external vendors.
We’d love to hear from you if you have
  • Progressive experience in operations, logistics, or distribution management, preferably within a retail or eCommerce environment.
  • Proven experience managing teams in a fast-paced distribution or manufacturing setting.
  • Demonstrated success in implementing and managing KPIs, SOPs, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Experience working within GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) environments is strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of inventory management, production planning, and quality control processes.
  • Proficiency in using warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, Kaizen) is an asset.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proven ability to manage conflict, provide constructive feedback, and foster a positive and inclusive team culture.
  • Highly organized with strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic, evolving environment with shifting priorities.
