Medical School Admissions Manager

Lead medical school admissions operations at Simon Fraser University, applying decision-making and problem-solving skills in an evolving environment. The temporary role supports SFU’s School of Medicine in Surrey.
As Manager, Admissions, you will translate strategy into actionable plans and improve admissions policies, processes, and systems. You will lead holistic application evaluation, manage team performance, and collaborate with internal and external partners. The work supports enrollment objectives, applicant experience, and barrier-free service delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee daily operations of the admissions unit
Lead adjudication, validation, and comprehensive application evaluation
Implement and improve admissions policies, processes, and systems
Manage admissions team performance, development, and coordination
Collaborate with partners to deliver high-quality admissions services
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree and five years of relevant experience
Experience managing teams, mentoring staff, and leading projects
Knowledge of medical school selection and enrollment management
Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
Ability to exercise judgment in complex admissions cases
Bring admissions leadership, operational judgment, and application evaluation expertise to SFU’s developing School of Medicine.
