CNC Machinist

As a Machinist, you will install tooling on numerically controlled equipment to machine parts to exacting tolerances. You will follow program instructions and diagrams for setting fixtures, outlining tooling, and sequencing operations for setup. Your role will include selecting and loading appropriate part programs for machine runs, maintaining accurate transactions in the ERP system, and making necessary adjustments to equipment and programs.

• Load and unload parts to and from machines and monitor operations to ensure proper machine functioning.
• Check parts periodically during operations to verify conformance to specifications using precision measuring devices.
• Assist in maintaining and servicing equipment as directed.
• Read and interpret blueprints.
• Train other employees and assist in other departments as required.
• Initiate actions to prevent problems and document quality issues.
• Contribute to problem-solving and verify the implementation of solutions.
• Control further processing when a problem is identified and protect the environment, including pollution prevention.

• 1-3 years of related experience as a CNC machinist.
• Ability to work on repetitive tasks.
• Proficiency in following blueprints and tooling sheets.
• Capability to make minor adjustments to programs.
• Familiarity with CNC machines, CNC lathes, milling machines, and manual operation.
• Experience with HAAS, DOOSAN, FANUC controls, and HATACHI.

• Milling or turning experience.
• Willingness to work overtime occasionally.
• Forklift operation (training available if necessary).
• Gear cutting experience.

Work in a spacious, clean 80,000 sqft facility with a mix of machine shop and assembly areas. Enjoy access to three paint booths, an enclosed welding shop, and bright lunch and training rooms. The company is environmentally conscious. You will work directly with a lead, supervisor, and a team of 12 to 30 machinists, providing plenty of support from coworkers. The position offers a contract-to-start with the potential for busy periods until the end of Q3, with orders continuing to come in.

The afternoon shift is preferred, with training on the AM shift for 3 weeks to 2 months. Work hours are Monday to Friday, 6 AM to 2:15 PM for the AM shift, and 2 PM to 12 AM, Monday to Thursday, for the afternoon shift, including paid lunch and coffee breaks.

The pay range for this position is $33.00 - $40.00/hr.
