Position: Weir Blasting / Surface Prep Technician
Take on the role of Blasting / Surface Prep Technician at Weir in Surrey, BC. Work onsite Monday to Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and ensure high standards in surface preparation.

You will perform critical abrasive blasting operations on pipes and steel components, inspecting them to ensure they are cleaned and profiled correctly prior to rubber lining. This role demands attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and collaboration with various teams to fulfill production needs. Your ability to operate and maintain blasting equipment safely will play a vital role in our operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out abrasive blasting on pipes and steel

• Daily inspection for cleanliness and profile quality

• Operate and maintain blasting equipment efficiently

• Stage and manage materials before and after blasting

• Support collaboration with rubber lining teams
