Weir is hiring a Surface Prep Technician in Surrey, BC, to perform blasting and quality control. Contribute to innovative mining solutions in a hands-on role.

In this onsite role, working Monday to Friday, you will execute abrasive blasting of pipes and other components, ensuring they meet stringent quality standards. Daily inspections and equipment operation are crucial aspects of the job. You will also communicate closely with the rubber lining team to coordinate production priorities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute abrasive blasting on various steel components

• Inspect and verify cleanliness of blasted surfaces

• Safely operate blast pots and other equipment

• Stage materials before and after blasting processes

• Commit to a zero harm safety culture

Requirements:

• Experience working in demanding physical settings

• Attention to detail in surface preparation

• Ability to maintain blasting equipment
