Torch Operator

Position: Torch Operator Role

In this role, you will report to the Facilities & Operations Manager and engage in the preparation of scrap material. You will apply your torching knowledge to meet company health, safety, and environmental standards while aiming for operational excellence at all times.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely prepare scrap with a torch

• Assess scrap quality and cut as needed

• Maintain a safe and controlled burning environment

• Identify equipment malfunctions and inform supervisors

• Operate necessary cutting tools and safety equipment

Requirements:

• High School or GED Certification is necessary

• Must possess a valid driver’s license

• Experience with torches preferred

• Dependable attendance and reliability required

• Ability to learn and apply torching techniques
