Position Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail‑oriented Operations & Material Flow Intern to join our operations team for a 10–12 week internship. This role provides hands‑on exposure to how materials move across a manufacturing organization, including planning, inventory control, production support, and logistics coordination. The intern will support projects focused on improving material flow, data accuracy, and operational efficiency, and will gain visibility into how materials connect the functions of purchasing, engineering, production, and logistics.

Learning Outcomes

Understanding of how material management connects cross‑functional teams

Development of analytical, problem‑solving, and continuous improvement skills

Insight into how end‑to‑end operations function within a manufacturing organization

Key Responsibilities

Assist in material planning and coordination, including order tracking and inventory alignment

Support ERP transactions and help maintain accurate material data

Analyze material flow and identify inefficiencies or improvement opportunities

Collaborate with purchasing, planning, production, engineering, and logistics teams to support daily operations

Participate in process improvement initiatives, including workflow analysis and problem‑solving activities

Use Excel to analyze data, track key metrics, and support decision‑making

Assist with inventory analysis to improve accuracy and optimize stock levels

Contribute to projects that improve on‑time delivery, material availability, and operational efficiency

Qualifications

Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Manufacturing Engineering, Logistics, Business Analytics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field

Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment

Interest in manufacturing, operations, and supply‑chain processes

Compensation
CAD $26.00 per hour.
