Switchgear Mechanical Assembler
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Starting Wage:
Day Shift $24/hour
Shift: Either four 10‑hour days per week (Monday‑Thursday) with optional Friday Flex (6:00 am – 4:30 pm; Friday off)

- Work schedule:
4 days / 10 hours (6 am to 4:30 pm). Flex Friday (Friday off) - Safe, clean work environment
- Variety of tasks and opportunities to learn
- Read, interpret, and follow basic diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and other instructions or procedures to accurately fabricate and assemble materials and equipment.
- Use multiple measuring devices such as scales, feeler gauges, rulers, micrometers, calipers, tee square, machinist square and tape measure to perform work accurately and precisely.
- Mount electrical components including circuit breakers, switches, transformers, relays, contractors, terminals, input/output devices, and other related switch gear electrical devices.
- Layout and frame enclosures.
- Drill, tap, punch, mount and install bus bar sections per drawings or instructions.
- Perform metal corrections and touch‑up painting as directed.
- Install and/or modify various metallic or non‑metallic items and components.
- Comply with all safety, quality, and work rules, guidelines and regulations.
- Additional tasks as required (training provided).
- High School Diploma.
- At least 2 years of experience in mechanical assembly using mechanical equipment.
- Ability to interpret drawings and work independently.
- Mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to work quickly with hands while maintaining accuracy and high quality.
- Strong work ethic and motivation to learn.
- Must be a team player.
- Activities:
Sitting ~5%, walking/standing ~95%. - Lifting:
Frequently lift up to 50 lbs. - Bending:
Must bend, squat, crawl and climb. - Vision:
Long periods of close work on small fonts and fine print; ability to see small or detailed items. - Mental:
Interpret, analyze, research and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. - Environment:
Shop/warehouse; not climate controlled; exposure to excess heat and cold, wet/humid conditions, noise/vibration, hazards, dust and fumes.
