ABC Recycling Ltd. is on the lookout for a Scale Operator who will be the first contact for customers at our busy facility. Your responsibilities include weighing scrap, directing unloading, and managing payments. Candidates must be willing to learn about the scrap metal industry and work flexible hours, including potential weekend shifts.
Key Responsibilities:
• Greet and assist customers, documenting their details
• Process payments accurately using various methods
• Prepare necessary shipment paperwork
• Maintain communication with yard staff using two-way radios
• Evaluate and grade materials at the scale
Requirements:
• Experience with POS systems or comparable software
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Strong multitasking and communication skills
• Customer-oriented positive attitude
• Flexible availability, including possible overtime
