Material Handler

Position: Material Handler at Russel Metals
Start your career with Russel Metals as a Material Handler in Surrey, BC. This role focuses on safely managing steel materials using forklifts and cranes.

As a Material Handler, you will be essential in transporting and handling various steel products at our busy Surrey location. We're seeking candidates with experience in material handling, ideally in a manufacturing environment, who excel in accuracy and detail. Shift work is mandatory, including mornings, evenings, and weekends, to support our operations around the clock.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely load, unload, and transport steel materials

• Operate forklifts and cranes for material handling

• Accurately track materials using RF devices

• Perform packaging tasks with hand tools

• Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors

Requirements:

• Previous material handling experience preferred

• Proficient in operating lifting equipment

• Strong organizational and communication skills

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally

• Basic computer skills for inventory management
