York Industries 1990 Ltd is seeking a Journeyman Machinist to specialize in CNC machining of medium to large parts in Surrey, BC. Engage in high-precision work, ensuring quality through strict adherence to ISO 9001:2012 standards.
In this full-time, on-site role, you'll be responsible for setting up and operating both CNC and conventional machines. Your expertise in interpreting engineering drawings will guide you as you select appropriate tools and conduct machining operations. Consistent inspection and documentation of produced items will be key, as will collaboration with the production team to enhance machining efficiency and resolve issues promptly.
Key Responsibilities:
• Set up CNC and conventional machines to produce precise components
• Interpret and execute work orders and engineering drawings accurately
• Conduct machining processes while maintaining tight tolerances
• Use measuring instruments for part inspection and documentation
• Work alongside production staff to improve machining workflows
Requirements:
• Certified Journeyman Machinist or equivalent training
• Proficient in CNC and conventional machining methods
• Solid knowledge of technical documents and blueprints
• Experience with Mastercam and adherence to ISO standards
• Demonstrated focus on safety and quality control in machining
