In this full-time role, you will execute strategic communication plans and engage with media outlets to enhance FortisBC’s reputation. Your skills in research, writing, and stakeholder engagement will be vital as you create influential communication materials and act as a corporate spokesperson. Collaborating with internal departments will play a key role as you lead efforts to identify risks and opportunities related to corporate communications.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement strategic communications plans
• Establish and maintain media relationships for event coverage
• Create targeted messages for corporate communications
• Oversee production of executive presentations and news releases
• Provide media training and monitoring to internal teams
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in communications or related field
• 4-7 years of relevant work experience
• Detail-oriented with strategic thinking skills
• Strong problem-solving abilities
• Capability to be part of 24/7 on-call response team
