The Community Service Worker role offered by SOURCES is a 9-week contract concentrating on effective food security measures. You will enhance local engagement while providing assistance in food bank services and organizing volunteer programs. This role requires excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to lift and move items efficiently within the community setting.
Key Responsibilities:
• Directly assist users of the Sources Food Banks
• Organize and lead the Community Harvest Program
• Facilitate workshops on food waste reduction
• Support Sources in community event planning
• Train and coordinate volunteers effectively
Requirements:
• Class 5 driver’s license required with a clean record
• Must lift a minimum of 50 lbs
• Proficient in Excel and Office Suite
• Strong communication and organization skills
• Adhere to principles of equity and diversity
