The Fraser Region Aboriginal Friendship Centre Association aims to uplift Indigenous youth in our communities. In this role, you will coordinate youth programs, advocate for individual needs, and engage Elders for culturally responsive workshops. Your work will be integral to fostering community connections and youth empowerment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Coordinate engaging weekly youth drop-in sessions
• Advocate for youth accessing health and social supports
• Develop leadership and skill-building opportunities
• Collaborate with external service providers to enrich programs
• Keep thorough records of client engagement and outcomes
Requirements:
• Experience in youth programming or community services
• Knowledge of Indigenous cultures and community needs
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders
• Commitment to the principles of truth and reconciliation
Promote youth empowerment and cultural education through your role at FRAFCA, making lasting impacts in Indigenous communities.
