Job Summary

We have an exciting opportunity for a Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our Chronic Pain Clinic at Jim Pattison Outpatient Care and Surgery Centre (JPOCSC) in Surrey, B.C. As part of this rewarding role the NP will support patients with chronic pain needs in a biopsychosocial model
. Collaborating with an interdisciplinary team committed to ensuring the best possible outcomes for your patients together you will construct a comprehensive plan for your patient’s treatment, medication, and diagnoses. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a team model with a coordinated approach to ensure safe, effective, and timely care for patients. If you are flexible, have initiative and interest in supporting comprehensive care for adults living with moderate to severe chronic pain health conditions and complex medical needs this may be the role for you.

JPOCSC provides a full range of scheduled outpatient services including day surgery, diagnostic services, and specialized health clinics.

    Responsibilities
  • Diagnoses and treats previously undiagnosed patients/clients/residents for undifferentiated diseases, disorders, and conditions within the Nurse Practitioner's scope of practice; writes orders for treatment and medications; provides first line care in emergencies.
  • Monitors ongoing care, orders appropriate screening diagnostic investigations; interprets reports of investigations and analyzes information to monitor progress and plan treatment.
