Relief Licensed Practical Nurse - Surgical Care

Enhance the surgical experience at Surrey Memorial Hospital as a Relief Full Time Licensed Practical Nurse (Theatre Qualified) in Surrey, B.C. This role centers on vital pre, intra, and post-operative care.

This exciting position remains until approximately May 2027, offering a unique chance to work with an integrated surgical team. The Licensed Practical Nurse will be responsible for performing critical nursing duties, including patient assessments, scrub and circulating responsibilities, and comprehensive documentation. Effective communication and collaboration are essential to support surgical interventions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough patient care assessments

• Perform essential scrub and circulating OR tasks

• Monitor patient conditions and alert RN as needed

• Keep accurate records of treatment and observations

• Participate in staff training and meetings

Requirements:

• Graduation from a recognized Practical Nurse program

• Valid registration with BCCNM

• Minimum one-year experience in acute care

• Current certification in basic cardiac life support

• Strong organizational skills for nursing duties
