Salary  The salary range for this position is CAD $60.75 - $87.33 per hour.

Job Summary  We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner to deliver primary health care services to government assisted, privately sponsored and refugee claimants at the New Canadian Clinic in the Jim Pattison Outpatient Care and Surgery Centre (JPOCSC) in Surrey, B.C. The role focuses on pediatrics, obstetrics, chronic disease and mental health, and requires collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to provide culturally‑sensitive care to patients across the life span.

Responsibilities   Diagnose and treat undifferentiated diseases, disorders and conditions within scope; write orders for treatment and medications; provide first‑line care in emergencies.
Monitor ongoing care; order appropriate screening, diagnostic investigations; interpret reports and analyze data to plan treatment.
Prioritise management of health conditions; provide follow‑up treatment; communicate health findings, diagnoses, priorities, outcomes and prognoses to patients and families; support and counsel on disease responses.
Collaborate and consult with physicians and other health service providers to assess and diagnose status; develop and implement treatment plans; admit and discharge patients according to policies.
Prescribe drugs within statutory and regulatory limits and employer policies.
Assign work, evaluate staff performance, provide educational supervision as needed; hire staff.
Participate in research to improve care and health policy development.
Maintain population health focus by implementing screening and health promotion activities for at‑risk populations.
Engage in interdisciplinary education through case presentations, mentoring, and knowledge exchange in clinical and community settings.
Develop, implement, and evaluate policies and procedures related to nursing and interdisciplinary care.
Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications   Current practicing registration as a Nurse Practitioner with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
Recent relevant clinical nursing experience.
Leadership:
