Make a difference at Surrey Memorial Hospital in the role of a full-time Relief Registered Nurse, focusing on Oncology patient care.
Your role will center around administering critical treatments and overseeing comprehensive nursing support.
The Relief Full-Time Registered Nurse for the Oncology unit will be responsible until May 2027. In this position, you will assess patients and perform nursing interventions while working closely within an interprofessional care team. By promoting patient autonomy and dignity, you will significantly impact healthcare experiences for those with cancer.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform patient assessments to determine care needs
• Administer prescribed chemotherapy therapies
• Facilitate family involvement in care planning
• Coordinate with healthcare teams for discharge planning
• Document patient responses and care outcomes
Requirements:
• Registered Nurse graduation from a recognized program
• Active registration with BCCNM
• Certification from BC Cancer Agency for Chemotherapy
• Proficient in assessment and critical thinking skills
• Strong ability to communicate with diverse teams
