Registered Practical Nurse

Position: Registered Practical Nurse at Extendicare

In this part-time role, you will report to the Director of Care and focus on implementing and evaluating resident care plans. You will engage closely with families and the interdisciplinary team to address resident needs effectively. Your experience in clinical nursing and ability to manage emergencies will be crucial to ensuring that all residents receive comprehensive care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver compassionate, goal-oriented nursing care

• Update and maintain accurate care plans and documentation

• Participate in resident care conferences as required

• Manage and administer medications and treatments

• Respond to significant changes in residents' conditions

Requirements:

• Valid registration as a Registered Practical Nurse

• Experience in senior care environments preferred

• Strong written and spoken communication skills

• Required Basic Cardiac Life Support and First Aid certifications

• Currently updated Vulnerable Position/Sector Screening
