Registered Nurse in Child Psychiatry Care

As a key member of the nursing team, you will deliver person-centered care in a collaborative environment. This role requires a strong background in mental health, with expertise in crisis intervention, patient education, and mental illness treatment. You will prioritize nursing assessments and participate in quality improvement initiatives, ensuring high standards of patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assess and evaluate nursing care for psychiatric patients
• Implement therapeutic interventions actively and collaboratively
• Communicate effectively with the healthcare team about patient needs
• Advocate for patients' rights and well-being
• Participate in nursing staff education and orientation
Requirements:
• Graduation from an approved School of Nursing
• One year of recent psychiatric nursing experience
• Current registration with BCCNM
• Knowledge of child and adolescent mental health issues
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
