Fraser Health is seeking a Pediatric Emergency Registered Nurse to provide empathetic care in a dynamic unit.
Your role involves assessments, family collaboration, and education on health management.
In this position within the Pediatric Emergency Unit, you’ll deliver personalized nursing care while working closely with a multidisciplinary team. You will conduct ongoing assessments, collaborate with families to modify care plans, and maintain clear communication throughout the process. Engaging in educational programs and improving quality initiatives are also key aspects of the role.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct ongoing nursing assessments of pediatric patients
• Develop and modify care plans collaboratively with families
• Document patient care and progress thoroughly
• Assist with discharge planning and referrals to community resources
• Engage in educational programs and quality improvement initiatives
Requirements:
• Graduate from an approved School of Nursing
• Current RN registration with the BCCNM
• Two years of clinical experience in pediatrics
• Relevant post-graduate certification or coursework
• Proficient in pediatric IV therapy and assessment skills
