Job SummaryLead the Future of Advanced Practice in Interventional Radiology (IR) at Surrey Memorial Hospital (SMH). This is the first‑ever Interventional Radiology Nurse Practitioner role in Canada, focused on building a sustainable, high‑performing, patient‑centered IR program and driving system‑level impact.
Key Responsibilities- Clinical assessment and management of patients before, during, and after IR procedures.
- Expedited consults, follow‑ups, recovery, and discharges.
- Perform minor procedures within NP scope to enhance continuity of care.
- Collaborate with Interventional Radiologists, nurses, and allied health to support coordinated, patient‑centered care.
- Participate in population‑based planning, policy development, and outcome evaluation.

- Current practicing registration as a Nurse Practitioner with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
- Recent relevant clinical nursing experience.
- Demonstrates leadership practices of the Fraser Health Leadership Framework of Clear, Caring and Courageous.
- Communicate and collaborate with patients, families about health findings, diagnosis, treatment, self‑care and prognosis.
- Collaborate and consult with physicians and other health professionals, and formally refer patients when appropriate.
- Critically assess health research literature to determine best practices and introduce evidence‑based education.
- Assess and recognize population health trends; plan and implement prevention and health promotion strategies.
- Implement and evaluate planned change.
- Supervise others and evaluate the care they deliver.
- Lead and work within a team, adapting to complex dynamic situations.

- Identify and respond to legal and ethical issues in patient care.
