In this critical role, you will be an integral part of the nursing team within Fraser Health's psychiatric care unit. The position requires a solid foundation in mental health nursing, emphasizing crisis intervention and patient education. Key Responsibilities:
• Continuously assess and evaluate psychiatric patient care
• Actively implement therapeutic interventions with the team
• Effectively communicate patient needs across the healthcare team
• Advocate for patients' rights and overall well-being
• Participate in educating nursing staff and facilitating orientations
Requirements:
• Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing
• One year of recent experience in psychiatric nursing
• Current BCCNM registration required
• Understanding of child and adolescent mental health
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
