Elevate mental health support in our Psychiatric High Acuity Unit as a Registered Nurse. Your focus will be on crisis intervention and creating personalized care plans for those in distress.
As a Registered Nurse, you will engage in hands-on patient care for stabilization and recovery. This role requires you to conduct assessments and work collaboratively with healthcare teams to provide specialized psychiatric care. Your efforts will help educate patients and their families, ensuring a therapeutic atmosphere that encourages recovery.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct thorough assessments and develop nursing care plans
• Implement psycho-education for clients and their families
• Facilitate crisis intervention and therapeutic group sessions
• Document patient progress and collaborate with healthcare teams
• Provide life skills training related to personal and medical needs
Requirements:
• Graduation from an accredited nursing program
• Recent experience in mental health care necessary
• Active registration with the BCCNM
• Understanding of psychosocial rehabilitation practices
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
