As a Registered Nurse in the Child & Adolescent Psychiatry Stabilization Unit, you will provide and coordinate essential psychiatric nursing care services. Key responsibilities include nursing assessments, crisis intervention, and education for patients and families. You'll actively engage in the therapeutic program while leading evidence-based practice in a setting that values respect and diversity.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assess and implement nursing care plans for individual patients
• Support the total therapeutic program of the unit
• Write detailed reports on assessments and observations
• Collaborate with health care team for optimal patient care
• Advocate for patients' rights and dignity
Requirements:
• Graduation from an approved School of Nursing
• One year related experience in acute psychiatric settings
• Registration with BCCNM as RN/RPN
• Experience working with adolescents is essential
• Knowledge of mental illness treatment and developmental issues
