Fraser Health is seeking a Registered Nurse or Registered Psychiatric Nurse for child and adolescent psychiatry. This position emphasizes recovery-focused care and clinical leadership within a supportive team environment.
In this role, you will assess, plan, and implement nursing care tailored to youth mental health needs. You'll work closely with families while maintaining a safe environment. Your responsibilities will also include participating in quality improvement activities and supporting both patients and nursing staff through education and mentorship.
Key Responsibilities:
• Implement evidence-based psychiatric nursing practices
• Monitor and evaluate patient outcomes and care plans
• Collaborate with interprofessional healthcare teams
• Advocate for patient autonomy and rights
• Support patient education and awareness initiatives
Requirements:
• Graduated from an accredited School of Nursing
• Minimum one year of psychiatric nursing experience
• Registered with the BCCNM
• Specialty training in child/adolescent psychiatry preferred
• Ability to assess and manage mental health crises
