Contribute to impactful substance use services at Fraser Health as a Registered Nurse or Registered Psychiatric Nurse. Your skills will be used to transform lives within vulnerable communities.
Fraser Health is seeking an RN/RPN devoted to mental health and addictions. This position demands BCCNM registration and at least one year of experience in the substance use field. You will be responsible for comprehensive assessments, immediate crisis responses, and providing education on health and wellness strategies tailored to clients and their families.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assess and plan nursing care for substance use clients
• Administer medications, ensuring compliance with protocols
• Address emergencies involving substance-related crises
• Educate clients on health maintenance and illness prevention
• Participate in program development and quality initiatives
Requirements:
• Registered Nurse or Registered Psychiatric Nurse with BCCNM
• Minimum one year’s experience in addictions care
• Completion of a recognized substance use training program
• First Aid and CPR certifications may be required
• A valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle may be needed
