Fraser Health is looking for a dedicated Pediatric Psychiatric Liaison Nurse for a part-time role in Surrey, B.C. This position focuses on crisis intervention and collaborative pediatric mental health support.
Your responsibilities will include performing intake assessments and crisis interventions for psychiatric cases within Emergency Departments. You will coordinate closely with the interprofessional team to ensure smooth transitions for pediatric patients. Candidates must hold relevant nursing qualifications and possess experience in acute psychiatric care with adolescents.
Key Responsibilities:
• Screen and assess incoming psychiatric referrals
• Compile psychosocial data to aid in treatment
• Collaborate on developing patient-centered care plans
• Provide crisis intervention and short-term follow-up care
• Document patient care thoroughly and accurately
Requirements:
• Graduate from a recognized Nursing or Psychiatric Nursing program
• Current registration with BCCNM
• One year of relevant psychiatric nursing experience
• Valid driver's license with vehicle access
• Effective crisis management and counseling skills
