This role requires a Registered Nurse or Registered Psychiatric Nurse active in British Columbia, equipped with at least one year of experience in an acute psychiatric setting. You'll employ nursing assessments, lead crisis intervention strategies, and educate families while collaborating with a diverse healthcare team to enhance patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assess and evaluate patient psychiatric care needs
• Implement and plan nursing care interventions
• Educate patients and families on mental health topics
• Write and communicate accurate care reports
• Support therapeutic programs and quality improvement initiatives
Requirements:
• Graduate of an approved School of Nursing
• One year recent experience in psychiatric care
• Registration with BCCNM as RN/RPN
• Specialty training in child/adolescent psychiatry
• Ability to engage effectively with youth and families
