Detailed OverviewIn accordance with the B.C. College of Social Workers standards of practice and Fraser Health mission, values, reporting to the Professional Practice Leader, and working collaboratively and in partnership with clinical leaders, stakeholders, and the inter-professional care team in the provision of patient and family-centered care, the Clinical Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day supervision of social work activities and staff for the assigned section.
Monitors workload, prepares and adjusts work assignments, ensures staff training objectives are attained, and acts as a clinical resource. In collaboration with the Professional Practice Leader, assists with budget planning and monitoring, preparing and conducting performance appraisals, providing input into service goals and objectives, and maintaining quality and safety standards for the assigned section. Contributes to the development of the social work profession through approved practice council and site/regional committee participation.
Carries a clinical caseload as required.
