Fraser Health is seeking a Casual Registered Nurse or Registered Psychiatric Nurse for Community Mental Health & Substance Use Services. You will foster therapeutic relationships, provide crisis intervention, and engage in care coordination. This role emphasizes recovery-oriented practices and holistic support for clients with mental illness and concurrent disorders.
Key Responsibilities:
• Coordinate care with interdisciplinary teams and clients
• Conduct mental health assessments and develop treatment plans
• Provide direct nursing care and administer prescribed medications
• Establish and maintain therapeutic client relationships
• Educate clients and families on psychiatric conditions
Requirements:
• Graduation from a recognized nursing program
• Two years’ experience in mental health services
• Registration with BCCNM as a Nurse or Psychiatric Nurse
• Valid BC Driver's License and personal vehicle access
• Ability to support person-centered care with empathy
