Position: Emergency Psychiatric Liaison Nursing Role
Fraser Health seeks an Emergency Psychiatric Liaison Nurse dedicated to high-quality mental health care. Engage deeply with patients, delivering essential assessments and support services.

In this position, you will lead the assessment and care of psychiatric patients in the Emergency Department, promoting their well-being and recovery.

Your role involves evaluating care needs and collaborating closely with healthcare partners to enhance patient outcomes. You will ensure timely transitions to appropriate services for ongoing support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments

• Create and implement patient-centered care plans

• Collaborate with community mental health providers

• Document all patient interactions and treatment plans

• Lead patient advocacy efforts for resource access

Requirements:

• Graduation from an approved nursing program

• Active RN or RPN registration with BCCNM

• One year relevant experience in mental health

• Proficiency in crisis intervention techniques

• Strong communication and teamwork abilities
