This temporary position involves providing high-quality care in the Operating Room, Day Surgery, and Recovery Room, adhering to provincial nursing standards. Applicants should have a Post Graduate Course in Perioperative Nursing and possess sound organizational skills. Previous experience in the OR will be beneficial.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide nursing support in various surgical settings
• Ensure efficient operations in the Recovery Room and Endoscopy
• Collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team
• Assume leadership roles during shifts as necessary
• Attend departmental educational sessions regularly
Requirements:
• Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
• 1-3 years of Operating Room experience required
• Current certification in BCLS, ACLS, and PALS
• Willingness to obtain Post Anesthetic Care Nursing certification
• Police Vulnerable Sector Check and Health Assessment mandated
