Enhance your nursing career in Community Mental Health with Fraser Health. This role focuses on person-centered recovery care for individuals facing mental health and substance use challenges.
As a Registered Nurse or Registered Psychiatric Nurse, you'll collaborate with an interprofessional care team to deliver high-quality treatment and manage care for clients. Emphasizing recovery and rehabilitation, your responsibilities will include conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and coordinating with community services. This role advocates for client independence and promotes a culturally safe environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Coordinate client care with the interprofessional team
• Conduct mental health assessments and develop treatment plans
• Utilize motivational interviewing techniques for individualized care
• Establish therapeutic relationships to support client self-care
• Document care plans and client responses according to standards
Requirements:
• Graduation from an approved nursing program
• Two years’ experience in mental health or concurrent disorders
• Current registration with BCCNM
• Valid Class 5 BC Driver's License
• Comprehensive knowledge of mental health and substance use treatments
