As a Registered Nurse/Registered Psychiatric Nurse, you will coordinate care for children facing mental health challenges in emergency situations. Your responsibilities will include developing treatment plans, documenting care effectively, and leading de-escalation strategies. Collaboration with interdisciplinary health teams and families is essential to provide the best outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric nursing assessments
• Create individualized treatment plans with family input
• Maintain thorough clinical records and documentation
• Collaborate with Emergency Department personnel for care needs
• Educate patients and families on health promotion strategies
Requirements:
• Current RN/RPN registration with the BCCNM
• Minimum one year in an acute psychiatric setting
• Knowledge of crisis intervention and mental health issues
• Ability to communicate effectively in stressful situations
• Proficient in managing clinical emergencies independently
