In this role, you will be part of a multi-disciplinary team within the Youth Forensic Psychiatric Services. As a Community Nurse, you will serve as a primary nursing therapist, managing cases and offering essential support to youth in conflict with the law. Your work will involve counseling, treatment, and collaboration with various services, making a significant impact on young lives.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct assessments and prepare comprehensive treatment reports
• Collaborate with probation services and community agencies
• Deliver direct nursing care and consultation to young individuals
• Coordinate resources and manage clinical challenges
• Ensure comprehensive follow-ups on mental health plans
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Nursing or Psychiatric Nursing
• At least three years of psychiatric nursing experience
• Registered with BCCNM in British Columbia
• Preference for experience in forensic or community mental health
• Criminal record check required for employment
